Meopin is pleased to announce that Dr. Sergio Marcucci would be lending his expert advice on all topics related to osteopathy.

Osteopathy is often confused with chiropracty. Chiropracts look at problems with the spine and joints while an Osteopath is also concerned with the rest of the body. Osteopathy is a manual, drug-free, non-invasive medicine discipline which lies on the principle that the wellbeing of an individual depends on their bones, ligaments, muscles , and connective tissue functioning smoothly together. According to Wikipedia, “Osteopathy is a type of alternative medicine that emphasizes manual readjustments, myofascial release and other physical manipulation of muscle tissue and bones.

Dr. Marcucci has been practicing osteopathic medicine for over 15 years and in addition to his practice, he takes a keen interest in research in the osteopathic clinical field. He first graduated from Institut pour les Carrières Auxilliares de la Medecine P.T as a physiotherapist in 1996. He then went on to get his professional degree in Osteopathic Medicine (D.O) from Sutherland College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005. Post that, he received his masters of science (M.Sc) degree from A.T. Still University College of Health Sciences for Osteopathic Clinical Research in 2011. His latest degree, which he received in 2018, is the Doctor of Health Sciences with specialization in Global Health also from A.T. Still University College of Graduate Health Studies, Arizona.

He believes in providing the best treatment for his patients with personalized care. He is often invited as speaker at different international orthopaedic and rheumatology congresses. His first aim is to provide the best evidence based treatment to his patients for their complaints. After his working hours, he does scientific research on pathophysiological mechanisms of certain clinical cases, thus to increase the scientific knowledge in osteopathic medicine.
